DECISION RONNIE BONANNO

On 15 June 2018 the GRNSW Inquiry Panel issued five charges against registered participant Mr Ronnie Bonanno under the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules.

At the Inquiry hearing on 28 June 2018, the Participant admitted each of the five charges. 

Having regard to the totality of the facts, the Inquiry Panel determined the appropriate penalty in relation to each charge, with the cumulative effect of a total period of disqualification of three years and fine of $600. A copy of the decision of the Inquiry Panel can be found Inquiry.pdf">here.

As a result of the disqualification (among other things):

  • All licences and registrations of the Participant are cancelled by GRNSW;
  • The Participant is not entitled to hold any registration, licence, certificate or permit issued by GRNSW during the period of disqualification;
  • The Participant must not enter a racecourse or place under the control of any greyhound racing club during the period of disqualification; and
  • The Participant must not enter a place where greyhound are trained, kept or raced during the period of disqualification.

The Participant was advised of his appeal rights.
