Brilliant heat winner Ritza Millie has been declared ineligible for Friday's semi-finals of the Richmond Riches so will attempt to pull off a consolation win tonight at Wentworth Park.
The Mark Gatt-trained greyhound has drawn ideally in box one in race nine, a 520m fifth grade.
"After she won her heat of Riches last week Ritza Millie was found to be ineligible for the rest of the series, because she is 24 hours too young for the race,'' Gatt said.
"Apparently dogs born after June 30, 2016, are deemed too young, and she was born on July 1.
"When I found out she would not be permitted to race at Richmond I rushed a nomination in for Wentworth Park and thankfully she has come up with box one.
"She has a great record from the rails alley, as she has won each of her two races wearing the red rug.
"Considering she pulled up well after last Friday's Richmond win, she should be hard to beat at Wenty.''
Ritza Millie has recorded 30.12 for the Wentworth Park 520m trip and as none of her rivals tonight has bettered 30.49 she should be winning comfortably.
Two slick trials make Nangar Kash look the dog to beat from box one in race eight, the 520m fifth grade Ladbrokes Info Hub Stakes.
Nangar Kash made his debut for his new owners and new trainer Michael Hardman at Richmond on May 4 and came from a long way back to win comfortably.
"Since then Nangar Kash has trialled well at Richmond and Wentworth Park,'' Hardman said.
"In a 400m hit-out at Richmond he clocked 22.50 and in a post-to-post hand-slip at Wenty Nangar Kash recorded 24.50.
"My only concern about him this week is that he is in race eight and he tends to be badly behaved in the kennels on race night.
"Because Nangar Kash plays up in the kennels I would have preferred to see him in an early race but you can't have everything, and from box one in what looks a quiet race he should go close to winning.''
Tonight's feature race, the 520m Ladbrokes Odds Boost Stakes, is shaping as a three-way tussle between Stilton Stitch (box three), Kingsbrae Cheeko (five) and Dyna Orenthal (seven).
Each has broken the 30sec barrier at Wentworth Park, with Kingsbrae Cheeko having recorded 29.64, Stilton Stitch's personal best being 29.88 and Dyna Orenthal clocking 29.99 last November.
Although his fastest Wenty time is slower than that of his two rivals, Dyna Orenthal could prevail because of the box draw.
The Simon Rhodes-trained dog has a good record from outside boxes while Kingsbrae Cheeko, who has been beginning slowly, is drawn in the middle of the field.
Stilton Stitch is suited positioned near the rails but could have trouble getting around the speedy Laurie's Sticka, who has box two, in the charge to the crucial first turn.
Most anticipated clash tonight comes in race 10, a 520m fifth grade, where the unbeaten Zipping Mitzy makes her first Wentworth Park appearance against Waitohi, who has won three of her past four starts at Richmond.
The Jason Magri-trained Zipping Mitzy, who has box seven, has won each of her three starts, over 472m at Bulli, in sizzling times of 26.03, 26.14 and 26.05.
All of those wins were in the fastest time of the night but Waitohi's presence means Zipping Mitzy cannot afford to put a foot wrong at her first Wentworth Park appearance.
Waitohi has had race experience at Wentworth Park, and was a certainty beaten when second there on March 14 while she has posted the quickest time of the meeting in each of her three recent Richmond wins.
