Decision - Rita Nicolaou

On 11 October 2017 the Greyhound Racing NSW Inquiry Panel charged trainer Mr Rita Nicolaou under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Rita Nicolaou, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Make A Million’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race eight at Wentworth Park on 28 June 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was pentobarbitone. 

Following Ms Nicolaou’s admission to the charge and consideration of all relevant factors, the GRNSW Inquiry Panel determined to impose a fine of $1,000.
