By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 1 November 2017 the GRNSW Inquiry Panel charged trainer Mr Richard Cooper under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Richard Cooper, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Flashing Dean’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race five at Goulburn on 8 August 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was 6alpha-hydroxystanozolol.

Following Mr Cooper’s early admission to the charge and consideration of the mitigating factors, the Inquiry Panel has determined to impose a period of disqualification of six months.
