On 12 October 2017 the GRNSW Inquiry Panel charged trainer Mr Mitchell Pryce under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Mitchell Pryce, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Despicable Scott’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race one at Wentworth Park on 29 July 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance detected was cobalt.
Following Mr Pryce’s admission to the charge and consideration of the relevant subjective factors, the Inquiry Panel determined to impose a period of suspension of 10 weeks.
