Decision - Leonie Bown

On 2 November 2017 the Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Inquiry Panel charged trainer Ms Leonie Bown under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows: 

That you, Leonie Bown, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘In Like Flint’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race six at Nowra on 26 August 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was arsenic.

Following Ms Bown’s early admission to the charge, the GRNSW Inquiry Panel has determined to impose a fine of $750.
