Rusty Memories To Continue Great Run For Owners

By thedogs.com.au

Rusty Memories can continue a terrific run of form for his owners – the Punters HQ Syndicate – when he lines up at Wentworth Park tonight.

Trained by the in-form Mark Davidson, Rusty Memories is owned by 16 members of the syndicate, eight of whom are first time owners. The greyhound was one of three winners for the syndicate last week when he took out a 4/5th grade race at Gosford on Saturday night.

Rusty Memories is now on the quick back-up at Wentworth Park, in which he will jump from box five in the 4/5th grade Christmas Bookings Open Stakes (race five, 520m).

He comes into the race with a good record at Wentworth Park, having qualified for the final of the Magic Maiden series when he made his racing debut. He has since won two more times and built up a good record of eight wins from 20 starts.

Rusty Memories should also have no issues with the draw, as he boasts two wins from five starts wearing the yellow rug.

Strongest opposition to Rusty Memories is the in-from Bella’s Queen in box seven, who is aiming for her third win in a row.

Bella’s Queen comes into the race a week after registering an impressive win in a 5th grade at Wentworth Park in 30.28 and looks like she will feature again tonight.

It could be a big night for Davidson with the Hunter trainer preparing two other winning chances in the form of His The Boss and Midnight Emma.

His The Boss jumps from box five in the 5th grade Uni Night on November 29 Stakes (race eight, 520m) after also winning at Gosford on Saturday night in impressive fashion.

Midnight Emma trailed in the brilliant Lochinvar Hugo over 600m at the same meeting on the weekend, but does not face the same type of opposition in the 4th grade Ladbrokes Money Wire Stakes (race nine, 520m). The lightly-raced greyhound should also appreciate a drop back in distance and looks a good chance of recording her second Wentworth Park win.

In other action at Wentworth Park, up and coming greyhound Zipping Katelyn will have her first attempt at the Wentworth Park staying distance in the 4/5th grade Christmas Meeting on December 16 Stakes (race three, 720m).

Trained by master trainer Jason Mackay, Zipping Katelyn has shown ability over the middle distances, scoring a nice win over the 600m at Gosford in October.

She will jump from box two and is bred to stay the distance so should be right in tonight's race.

Meanwhile, Fast Car Driving should appreciate a drop in class when he lines up in the 5th grade wentworthpark.com.au Stakes (race two, 520m).

Fast Car Driving, trained by Chris Carl, has been competing in the Group 1 Vic Peters Classic series, winning his heat before finishing sixth in his semi final behind Shallay Pallay.

He gets a nice draw in box three for his assignment and looks to be one of the better bets on the card.

The value bet of the night comes in the last race on the card in the shape of Barbie’s Chance.

Trained in the tiny Riverina town of Wallendbeen by Lorraine Roy, Barbie’s Chance has been racing without luck in recent weeks, but gets the gun box one draw in the 5th grade GBOTA AGM Stakes (race 10, 520m).

Barbie’s Chance has a great record wearing the red rug, having won three races and placed three times from six starts, and looks to have the jump on her opposition tonight.
