Lord Targets Goulburn Cup With Corrupt Millions

By Jeff Collerson

Corrupt Millions is on target for the November 14 heats of the Goulburn Workers Club Cup after posting a blistering 24.70 in a 440m trial at the track on Thursday.

The JODIE Lord-trained dog, resuming from a spell, won the trial from the well performed Zipping Spring and Fly Right in hollow fashion.

Lord won the 2015 Goulburn Cup with Let It Develop, who had taken out the Canberra Cup earlier in that year.

"I won this year's Canberra Cup with Champion Model and she will be attempting to emulate Let It Develop by completing the double at Goulburn,'' Lord said.

"I anticipate nominating as many as 10 greyhounds for the Cup heats.''

Corrupt Millions has won seven of only 24 starts while Champion Model has been first past the post in 10 of just 19 races.

Final of the 440m Goulburn Cup, worth $15,000 to the winner, will be run on November 21.
