On 12 October 2017 the GRNSW Inquiry Panel charged trainer Mr Joseph Proietto under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Joseph Proietto, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Eurelia’s Dust’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race 11 at Richmond on 2 August 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was theobromine.
Following Mr Proietto’s early admission to the charge and consideration of the mitigating factors, the GRNSW Inquiry Panel has determined to impose a period of suspension of 12 weeks.
