Decision - Peter Parker

On 13 October 2017 the GRNSW Inquiry Panel charged trainer Mr Peter Parker under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Peter Parker, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Rockin’ Tonight’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race three at Goulburn on 27 June 2017  in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

That you, Peter Parker, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Pretty Chicki’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race three at Richmond on 23 June 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

That you, Peter Parker, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Pretty Chicki’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race seven at Bulli on 1 July 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

That you, Peter Parker, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Bucking Bull’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race three at Goulburn on 18 July 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

That you, Peter Parker, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Pretty Chicki’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race four at Bathurst on 31 July 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was caffeine and its metabolites in relation to each of the charges. 

Following Mr Parker’s early admission to the charges and consideration of the mitigating factors, the GRNSW Inquiry Panel has determined to impose a period of suspension of 36 weeks.
