Decision - Owen Langley

On 21 June 2017 the Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Inquiry Panel charged trainer Mr Owen Langley under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows: 

That you, Owen Langley, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘ZIPPING Vixen’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race six at Richmond on 31 March 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance detected was cobalt.

Following Mr Langley’s admission to the charge and consideration of the relevant subjective factors, the GRNSW Inquiry Panel determined to impose a period of suspension of 18 weeks.
