Decision - Warwick Brown

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 22 December the Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Inquiry Panel charged trainer Mr Warwick Brown under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Warwick Brown, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Jethrowtull’ at The Gardens on 7 October 2016, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race seven in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

Following a denial of the charge and submissions from Mr Brown, the GRNSW Inquiry Panel determined that Mr Brown breached the rules and imposed a period of suspension of 16 weeks.
