Decision - Paul Gallagher

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 5 April 2017 the Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Inquiry Panel charged trainer Mr Paul Gallagher under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Paul Gallagher, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Gifted Gal’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race five at Grafton on 2 January 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

After considering all the evidence before the Inquiry, the GRNSW Inquiry Panel found Mr Gallagher had breached the rules and determined to impose a period of suspension of 24 weeks.
