Decision - Jason Sparks

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 21 June 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Jason Sparks under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Jason Sparks, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Callquin Jamie’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race three at Richmond on 22 March 2017 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was arsenic.

Following Mr Sparks’ early admission to the charge and consideration of mitigating factors, the GRNSW Inquiry Panel has determined to impose a fine of $625.
