Decision - Dean Maniaci

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 4 May 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged licensed trainer Mr Dean Maniaci under Rules 86 (o) and 86 (p) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules in relation to conduct that occurred at the Bulli meeting on 15 April 2017.

Mr Maniaci entered a plea of not guilty to the charges.

After considering all the evidence before the inquiry, GRNSW Stewards found Mr Maniaci guilty of the charges.

As a result, the Stewards determined that the appropriate penalty was to impose a period of suspension of three months, with four weeks suspended on the condition that Mr Maniaci does not breach the rules within the next 12 months.

The penalties are to be served concurrently.

Mr Maniaci has determined to exercise his right of appeal.
