By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 29 September 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Gavin Howard under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Gavin Howard, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Quick Shanks’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race 11 at The Gardens on 3 June 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was amphetamine.

During an inquiry on 30 May 2017, Mr Howard was found guilty of the charge. The Stewards have determined to impose a period of disqualification of two years.
