Revised Rules Issued

By Greyhound Racing NSW

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) has issued a revised version of the GRNSW Racing Rules.

The only change to the revised version is the addition of new Local Rule 106A – Provision of Greyhound Information.

The new local rule allows for GRNSW to suspend the registration of participants who fail to properly provide GRNSW with information on a greyhound, when GRNSW requests that they do so. The rule also makes clear that providing false or misleading statements in relation to any requirement under the rules is an offence.

More information on the new local rule is available on the GRNSW website at www.grnsw.com.au/news/new-rule--provision-of-greyhound-information

The introduction of the new rule is in-line with recommendations made by the Greyhound Industry Reform Panel, which supported penalties to ensure participants provide accurate and timely information around a greyhound’s status.

The revised version of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules is effective from 1 June 2017.
