Decision - John Howson

On 24 March 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr John Howson under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows: 

That you, John Howson, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Lover’s Loch’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race two at Gosford on 27 December 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was amphetamine.

During an inquiry on 26 May 2017, Mr Howson was found guilty of the charge. 

GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of disqualification of 20 months.
