Mister Twister To Tackle Peter Mosman

By Jeff Collerson

Mister Twister will join the luminaries tackling Saturday night's Group 1 Peter Mosman Classic following his win in Friday's $100,000 to the winner Globe Memorial Richmond Riches.

The Jason MACKAY-trained greyhound, whose career has been revitalised through a tonsillectomy, took his record to 12 wins and 11 placings from 29 starts when he won the Richmond Riches.

Bought at the Richmond Puppy Auction for $21,000, Mister Twister has now earned more than $170,000 in stakes and can add another $75,000 to that tally if he wins the Peter Mosman Classic final on June 17.

Mister Twister had won his Richmond Riches semi-final from box eight, but after wearing the red rug in his final victory MACKAY reminded racegoers that the greyhound is a lot better drawn closer to the rails.

Fast Times, who missed the jump and ran on gamely to finish second behind Mister Twister in Friday night's final, is also set to contest the Peter Mosman Classic.

Bought at the Richmond auction for $6500 by former rugby league star Terry Hill, Fast Times has a big future as the 25 month old youngster is a veteran of a mere dozen starts.

"His trainer Tony Brett has had some great greyhounds and ranks Fast Times up there with the best of them," Hill said.
