On 3 May 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Robert Andrews under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Robert Andrews, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Him The Master’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race five at Casino on 16 December 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was cobalt.
Following Mr Andrews’ early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of the mitigating factors, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of suspension of 12 weeks.
