Decision - Amanda Brunton

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 8 March 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Ms Amanda Brunton under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Amanda Brunton, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Targaryen’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race five at Dapto on 1 December 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

Following Ms Brunton’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of the mitigating factors, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of suspension of eight weeks.

Ms Brunton has been notified of her rights of appeal.
