"We've got a race on our hands", exclaimed trainer Tony Brett (pictured) After his fastest qualifier Fast Times drew box seven with second quickest semi-final winner Mister Twister drawing box one in Friday night's Globe Memorial Richmond Riches final.

Fast Times led throughout to win his semi-final in 30.74 while Mister Twister came from being second most of the way to win in 30.80.

Fast Times raced wide from box two so Brett is happy with seeing his greyhound boxed wide in the final.

"I prefer him drawn out there but with Mister Twister in box one we've got a race on our hands," Brett said.

The champion Queensland trainer won last year's Richmond Riches with Thirty Talks, and this year's final looks to be in a match race with Mister Twister for the $100,000 first prizemoney this year.

Mister Twister's trainer Jason MACKAY is pleased with his greyhound's rails draw.

"His semi-final win was terrific because he came off box eight and gave the pacemaker four lengths' start in the middle stages," MACKAY said.

"That win proved Mister Twister doesn't have to lead to win, that he can come from behind and still run time."

Mister Twister's owners, the Tiger Seven syndicate, also have Kong, trained by Cheryl Murray, in Friday's final.

Kong was impressive in his fast finishng semi-final win in 30.89.

The syndicare bought Mister Twister for $21,000 at the Richmond Puppy Auction and paid $15,000 for Kong at the same sale.

Box draw for Friday's Richmond Riches final is: 1. Mister Twister 2. Arden Emgrand 3. Big Black 4. Pick It Up 5. Victor Charlie 6. Kong 7. Fast Times 8. Bobby Rudd. Reserves: 9. Opal Nera 10. Swift Ella.
