By Stuart Turner

Striker Light has taken out the Group 1 Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg (520m) - NSW's biggest race of the year - in thrilling fashion.

The Victorian (pictured, black rug), trained by Brett Bravo, justified her $3 favourite tag as she pipped valiant runner-up Lagoon Jazzy by a neck to take the $250,000 top prize.

Striker Light jumped only fairly from box seven and was fifth at the first turn, but soon took the lead and held off fast-finishing Lagoon Jazzy to win in 29.99.

Victorian Big Flood ($6) was third, three lengths back.
