Decision - John Callaughan

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 16 March 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr John Callaughan under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, John Callaughan, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Smoke Da Judge’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race six at Richmond on 2 December 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was dexamethasone.

Following Mr Callaughan’s early guilty plea to the charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $750.
