Decision - Anthony Hoyland

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 6 October 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Anthony Hoyland under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Anthony Hoyland, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Garry Jack’ presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race three at Lismore on 12 January 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

Following Mr Hoyland’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of the factors, GRNSW Stewards determined to impose a period of suspension of 12 weeks.

Mr Hoyland has been notified of his rights of appeal.
