Decision - Jeffrey Chapman

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 31 August 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Jeffrey Chapman under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Jeffrey Chapman, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Zlaton’ presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race five at Grafton on 27 June 2016, in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

Following Mr Chapman’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of the mitigating factors, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of suspension of eight weeks.

Mr Chapman has been notified of his rights of appeal.
