Decision - David Brodie

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 8 March 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr David Brodie under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, David Brodie, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Fullpelt Rosie’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race four at Grafton on 12 December 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

Following Mr Brodie’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of the mitigating factors, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of suspension of 10 weeks.

Mr Brodie has been notified of his rights of appeal.
