By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 22 March 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) held an inquiry in to the circumstances surrounding the detection of prohibited substances in the greyhound 'Myrniong Fancy' after it competed in race four at Goulburn on 15 December 2015.

The prohibited substances detected were amphetamine and its metabolite 4-hydroxamphetamine.

GRNSW Stewards after considering verbal evidence as well as an extensive examination of the documentary evidence, determined to charge the following particpants under the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules:

• Anthony Lord was charged under Rule 83(2).

• Craig Moffitt was charged under Rules 83(2) and 86(o).

Following Mr Lord’s guilty plea to the charge, the Stewards determined to impose a period of disqualification of one year.

Following Mr Moffitt’s guilty plea to the charges, the Stewards determined to impose a period of disqualification of five years for each of the charges, to be served concurrently.
