Appeal - Melinda Finn

By Greyhound Racing NSW

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that the Racing Appeals Tribunal has announced its decision on the appeal by trainer Melinda Finn against a penalty imposed by GRNSW stewards for a breach of Gar 83 (2).

Ms Finn appealed against the decision of GRNSW Stewards to impose a disqualification of 12 years as a result of four positive samples taken between 20 March 2015 and 4 May 2015. The prohibited substance in each instance was Recombinant Human Erythropoeitin (EPO).

The tribunal upheld the severity appeal and amended the disqualification period to two years and six months on each of the four charges.
