Decision - Gordon Watts

On 15 March 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged licenced attendant and owner Mr Gordon Watts under rules Gar 86 (o) and Gar 86 (p) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows: 

- That you, Gordon Watts, a registered attendant and owner, while at Maitland Greyhound Club on Thursday 2 March 2017 has in relation to greyhound racing, done a thing, which in the opinion of the Stewards, as the case may be, constituted misconduct. 

- That you, Gordon Watts, a registered attendant and owner, while at the Maitland Greyhound Club on Thursday 2 March 2017 failed to comply with the lawful order of a Steward having official duties in relation to greyhound racing.

Mr Watts pled guilty to the charges. 

After considering all the evidence before the inquiry, GRNSW Stewards determined to impose a period of suspension of three months was appropriate in the circumstances, with eight weeks suspended on the condition that the Mr Watts does not breach the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules in relation to a conduct related matter within the next 12 months. These penalties are to be served concurrently.
