Decision - Peter Simpson

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 8 December 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Peter Simpson under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Peter Simpson, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Rapper’s Delight’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race four at Casino on 26 August 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was arsenic.

Following Mr Simpson’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of the mitigating factors, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $1750.

Mr Simpson has been notified of his rights of appeal.
