On 10 February 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Joseph McFadyen under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Joseph McFadyen, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Legs Like Elle’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race 3 at Wentworth Park on 14 September 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was arsenic.
Following Mr McFadyen’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of the mitigating factors, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $625.
