On 21 October 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Bruce Peck under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Bruce Peck, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Zali Magic’ presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race 10 at Goulburn on 19 July 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was cobalt.
Following Mr Peck’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of all the circumstances, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of disqualification of 36 weeks.
