Tell The World Ready To Rule At Wentworth Park

By Jeff Collerson

Fastest heat winner Tell The World's best Wentworth Park time is equivalent to 10 lengths better than any of her rivals in Wednesday night's Bathurst To Wenty Final.

And Tell The World, the only Wentworth Park winner in the field, looks the bet of the night after drawing box one in the 520m final.

"Tell The World is not long back from a seasonal spell and with one more run under the belt she should be back to her brilliant best,'' trainer Steven Jones said.

"When she last drew box one at Wenty she finished down the course but that night she got jammed up on the fence because there was a lot of speed on her outside.

"It should be a different story this time because while Tell The World wants to use a bit of the track, Spring Skipper, who has box two, should give her room to move in the run to the first turn.''

Tell The World has recorded 30.08 at Wentworth Park while Justa Grant, who has clocked 30.70 at the track, has the next best time - 10 lengths slower.

Myrniong Blaster was beaten nearly 13 lengths into third place at his most recent Wentworth Park outing on February 22 but a move from box seven that night to box three in Wednesday's 10th event should put him back in the winner's circle.

Myrniong Blaster has won three of his six races from boxes one, two and three, and trainer Mario Azzopardi is delighted his greyhound has drawn near the rails this week.

"He needs to be drawn inside and is a much faster dog than his form from wide boxes indicates,'' Azzopardi said.

"Since he finished third to Kissing Carter and Midnite Party at Wentworth Park last week I have trialled Myrniong Blaster over 520m at Dapto and he went extremely well.

"He broke the 30 second barrier which is flying.''

Last year's leading trainer Dean Swain and his father Sid are set to each land winners within an hour at Wentworth Park on Wednesday night.

Techno">Techno, trained by Dean Swain, has box two in race seven, a 520m fourth grade, while dad Sid's dog Hollywood">Hollywood has box two in race nine, a fifth grade 520m event.

"Forget Techno's run when he finished seventh from box seven at his last Wenty race on February 18 because he is a different dog from an inside box,'' Dean Swain said.

"He had drawn box two when he won by seven lengths at Wenty a week earlier so I'm rapt he has the same draw this week.

"Techno is going really well and when he draws near the rails, he drives really hard along the fence in the run to the first turn.

"He doesn't even need a lot of luck to win because he is such a good chaser he makes his own luck.''

Hollywood was skittled when crossing to the rails from box seven before finishing second to Magic Gambler at his Wentworth Park debut last Wednesday so is far better suited drawn near the inside this week.
