Decision - Arthur Fahey

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 8 February 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Arthur Fahey under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Arthur Fahey, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Arthur Drum’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race ten at Wagga Wagga on 25 November 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

Following Mr Fahey’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of the mitigating factors, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of suspension of 15 weeks.

Mr Fahey has been notified of his rights of appeal.
