Kyra Miss On Target For Another Win At Gosford

By Stuart Turner

A tilt at the Golden Easter Egg series at Wentworth Park in April could be on the cards for Kyra Miss if she can continue her impressive form at Gosford tonight.

Kyra Miss will jump from box three in race eight (515m) this evening looking to continue the form that has seen her register three wins in a row.

Her latest win came last Saturday night at Unibet Gardens in which she led all the way to register an impressive victory by more than three lengths.

Kyra Miss faces a tough field tonight that includes recent Group 1 National Futurity finalist Red Calibre (box eight), but Bamback believes his greyhound is capable of continuing her superb run of success.

“(Kyra Miss) loves inside draws so this box should suit and she’s shown she’s well up to this distance,” Bamback, who is based in the Hunter Valley town of Nulkaba, said.

“It’s a tricky race but I’m pretty confident she’ll run a good race and she looks hard to beat. She’s just improving with every race and jumping well.

“I’m planning to take her to Wentworth Park again shortly and possibly have a go at the Golden Easter Egg heats if I can.

“I’ve always raced in the bush but maybe we won’t have to go back there for a while, the way she’s going.

“She loves getting an ice cream after the races as a treat –and she’s certainly been earning them.”

Meanwhile, Junior Tot looks the night’s best bet at Gosford jumping from box two in race seven (400m).

The Terry Priest-trained greyhound has scored four placings in consecutive races and looks to have landed a winnable race this evening.

Short course star Haich Two Mo (box two) goes for his 37th career victory in race nine (400m) and looks tough to beat.

The Trevor Rice-trained greyhound has won his last two starts, including another strong effort over this distance last week.

Local contender Quicklee Cassie (box eight) missed the kick last start but has previously won at Gosford and can atone with victory in race 10 (515m).
