On 16 January 2017 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Kenneth Chappelow under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Kenneth Chappelow, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Vintage Charm’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race five at Wentworth Park on 19 October 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was flunixin.
Following Mr Chappelow’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of the mitigating factors, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $625.
