Decision - John Crossley

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 6 September 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr John Crossley under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, John Crossley, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Bridgey’s Boy’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race two at Dubbo on 24 April 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was phenylbutazone and its metabolites oxyphenbutazone and gamma-hydroxyphenylbutazone.

During an inquiry on 15 February 2017, Mr Crossley was found guilty of the charge. The Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $625.
