On 10 November 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSw) charged trainer Mr John Gale under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, John Gale, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Gloria’s Bills’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race two at Wentworth Park on 6 July 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was guaifenesin.
During an inquiry on 9 February 2017, Mr Gale entered a plea of guilty to the charge. GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $1125.
