On 22 December 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Preston Rowles under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Preston Rowles, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Blue Revolver’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race nine at Wentworth Park on 1 October 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was methylprednisolone.
Following Mr Rowles’ early guilty plea to the charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $1000.
