The scheduled Maitland meeting on Thursday, January 5 has been transferred to Gosford while urgent track maintenance work continues at Maitland.
Last Thursday’s scheduled meeting at Maitland was also transferred to Gosford after Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) inspected the Maitland track and found the racing surface to be unsafe for racing.
GRNSW track maintenance staff are continuing to work with the Greyhound Breeders Owners and Trainers Association to undertake remedial work of the Maitland racing surface and ensure it is brought up to an appropriate and safe standard before racing can resume at the track.
Nominations for the transferred Gosford meeting will close at 9am on Tuesday, January 3.
GRNSW will provide further updates on the status of future Maitland meetings when more information becomes available.
