Decision - Terry Hickson

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 29 August 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Terry Hickson under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Terry Hickson, a registered public trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Torgmentor’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race nine at Grafton on 4 January 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

Following Mr Hickson’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of further mitigating factors supplied, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of suspension of 32 weeks.
