On 15 November 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Emanuel Borg under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Emanuel Borg, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Martial’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race two at The Gardens on 18 June 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was dexamethasone.
Following Mr Borg’s early guilty plea to the charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $750.
