On 6 September 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Matthew Bozovitch under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Matthew Bozovitch, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Sofia The First’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race three at Wentworth Park on 2 April 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was cobalt.
During an inquiry on 1 December 2016, Mr Bozovitch entered a plea of guilty to the charge.
The Stewards have determined to impose a period of suspension of 14 weeks.
