On 30 November 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Charged trainer Mr David Robertson under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, David Robertson, a registered trainer, while in Charge of the greyhound ‘Tee Jay Sunrise’ presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race one at Dapto on 18 February 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was Phenobarbital.
Following Mr Robertson’s early guilty plea to the Charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $1,000.
