Decision - Noelene Walsh

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 1 August 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Ms Noelene Walsh under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Noelene Walsh, a registered public trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Thunda Struck’ at Dubbo on 8 January 2016, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race nine in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

During an inquiry on 29 November 2016, Ms Walsh entered a plea of guilty to the charge.

The Stewards have determined to impose a period of suspension of eight weeks and a fine of $500.
