Decision - Reg Gardoll

On 14 November 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Reg Gardoll under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows: 

- That you, Reg Gardoll, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Shags’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race six at Grafton on 28 December 2015 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

- That you, Mr Gardoll, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Lady Spring’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race seven at Grafton on 28 December 2015 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was meclofenoxate and 4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid.  

Following Mr Gardoll’s early guilty plea to the charges, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $1500.
