Decision - Jeffrey Eaton

On 24 June 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Charged trainer Mr Jeffrey Eaton under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows: 

That you, Jeffrey Eaton, a registered owner-trainer, while in Charge of the greyhound 'La Grand Logie' at Wentworth Park on 27 January 2016, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race one in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance (Charge 1).

That you, Jeffrey Eaton, a registered owner-trainer, while in Charge of the greyhound ‘La Grand Logie’ at Richmond on 26 February 2016, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race four in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance (Charge 2).

Together the Charges.

The prohibited substance was O-desmethylvenlafaxine.  

Following an inquiry on 23 November 2016, GRNSW Stewards found Mr Eaton guilty of the Charges. 

The Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $750.
