Decision - Kristy Sultana

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 28 October 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Ms Kristy Sultana under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Kristy Sultana, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Melan’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race eight at The Gardens on 29 July 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was 6alpha-hydroxystanzolol.

Following Ms Sultana’s early guilty plea to the charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of disqualification of eight weeks and a fine of $500.

Ms Sultana has been notified of her rights of appeal.
