Hill Top Belle Looks A Top Chance At Nowra

By Stuart Turner

Impressive last start winner Hill Top Belle looks capable of continuing her winning form at Nowra this evening.

The Frances Goodwin-trained greyhound jumps from box four in the 5th grade Premium Tyre Service Nowra Final (race six, 520m) off the back of a smart 30.16 victory from box one in last week’s heats.

This will be Hill Top Belle’s first start from box four but her trainer believes she looks a decent chance in this race.

“I’m confident she can win,” Goodwin said. “She’s jumping out of her skin at the moment and racing well.

“I wasn’t too surprised by her time last week she’s been trialling well. She’s such a hard chaser and always gets the job done.

“She’s better off closer to the rail but box four isn’t too bad. If she was in the seven or eight then it would be a different story but she has the pace to handle this draw.

“She’s looking good and I’m hopeful she can do it again here.”

Hill Top Belle’s toughest opponent in this race looks like John Dujric (box two), who has won two races in the last seven days at Nowra and Dapto.

In other action at Nowra this evening, Too Many Daddys (box one) looks ideally drawn to score another win in the 4/5th grade Canberra Clothing Company Stakes (race four, 520m).

The classy Denice Warren-trained greyhound has scored six wins and three minor placings wearing the red rug and saluted again from this drawn at Nowra last week.

Media Icon (box one) has mixed form recently but looks capable of returning to winning ways in the 4/5th grade Ladbrokes Stakes (race seven, 365m).

The Marien Sullivan-trained greyhound has had two unsuccessful placings since returning from a break but should be better suited with the rails draw.

Bark Vader (box three) looks a decent newcomer for local trainer Phil Goodsell and can triumph in the 5th grade Nowra Flooring Stakes (race 10, 365m).

She won from box eight at Nowra over the 365m last week in a decent 20.92 and on that form can win again in this race.
